Learn how we extract essential oils and hydrosols in the distillation room

During your visit at Cyherbia Botanical Park we will show you our distillation room and explain how we extract essential oils and hydrosols from our herbs, as well as show you how to use them internally and externally and tell you about the many health and beauty benefits of each oil.

Distilation Room

Every season we extract different oils, of herbs that are in season. In the autumn and winter months we extract basil, bay laurel and rosemary. In spring and summer months we extract oregano, lavender and lemon verbena.

During Lavender Season in June, you have the opportunity to walk in the elegant lavender gardens. Lavender is in full purple and lilac bloom and releases its relaxing aroma. After 4 weeks lavender is cut and its essential oil is distilled in the distillation room. You can come and witness the extraction.
